Since its discovery in 2014, during a winter snowshoe walk on a bright day in the Lanaudière region, this fibre has profoundly changed the way we look at nature. That day, delicate silks emerging from the first snowfall floated gently in the air — a suspended moment, imbued with calm and beauty. Two days later, chance — or perhaps a sign — led us to discover a report describing the dream of turning it into an industry.
Over time, however, we came to understand that certain materials, by their very nature, invite an approach defined by rarity, restraint, and respect.
Despite its remarkable technical and ecological qualities, this delicate fibre cannot, except in rare cases, be used on its own. Experience has taught us that materials reveal their full nature through the alliances we choose for them.
